Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Uyuni Salar - Colchani - Incahuasi Island - Jirira
10:30 Departure from Uyuni to Colchan, a small town where the dwellers make the exploitation and the refining of the salt using salt´s stoves.
Then entrance to Salar, where we will walk around piles of salt and appreciate a show about the salt´s extraction in salt blocks
Then we will look at the eyes of salt and get some souvenirs and handicrafts. Afterwards we will visit the Incahuasi Island (known as the fish Island), where we can appreciate the huge cactus and an amazing landscape from a viewing point.
At noon we will have a Box Lunch in the Island after that we will walk around the place to appreciate the small surroundings islands at the nor east. Go on to Jirira, we will get to a small town where we will overnight in a basic lodge.
Day 2: Thunupa Vulcan - Chulpares de l Maracaná - Uyuni
06:30 Departure early in the morning to climb the Thunupa Vulcan, this walking is for about 3 hours until the half-way where we can appreciate a crater. This walk is up to any age, because there in no need to use a mountain equipment, just will to know it.
At noon we will take a box lunch at the Vulcan’s foot, then we will visit the Chulpares de l Maracaná ( mommies ) which are found close to the Llica town and at the sunshine return to Uyuni, arriving around 6 :00 pm
