Tour Itinerary

This tour starts in the hotel, to go to the highest lake in the world "Titikaka", to a region where we find the town of "Huatajata", on our way we will see lots of plantations of a big variety of Andean cereals and potatoes ,which is the main crop of this high plateau.

As we arrive we will get onto a motor boat which in about 50 min. Of navigation will take us to the island of "Suriqui", a place where you will see people living in a typical and natural way , also in this island great "Reed Boats" were made using a kind of algae "Totora" which abounds this shores, with this "Balsas de Totora" as the "Titi" and "Khota mama" the great expeditionary Thor Hayhadal made long trips discovering old earth formations and routes.

As we are back in Huatajata we will enjoy an exquisite lunch tasting the delicious pink trout or any of the culinary options of this place. Once ending before we head La Paz we will visit Mr. Paulino Esteban, a famous and great builder of reed drafts, such the "Matarangui I y II", the "Tigris" and others also used by expeditioners as Hayhadal, Kitin Muñoz and others making long intercontinental journeys around the world.
