Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Copacabana
07:30 Bus departure towards the Tiquina straits. After crossing the straits we continue towards Copacabana (168 Km.), “Copa–cahuana”, better known as Copacabana, this word of Aymara origin means “The Precious Stone Look-Out Point", where lunch is served.
In the afternoon a City Tour. It is believed that it was founded by the Inca Tupac Yunpanqui, establishing 42 main Quechua families (mitimacus or mitmas).
Dinner and overnight stay at a 3*** hotel.
Day 2: The Island of the Sun - Chinkana
Breakfast. Departure to The Island of the Sun, this island has several monuments that date back to the time prior to the colony, such as: The Pilkokaina Palace and the “Chinkana” or Labyrinth, The Stairway of the Inca, The Sacred Fountain of Internal Youth and the Incas’ Terraces.
Lunch. Return to La Paz.
