Tour Itinerary

Expedition to Pantanal in a program of 5 days.

It includes the terrestrial transportation in a 4x4, of San Ignacio al Pantanal and to the hills of San Ignacio. The local guide of attention.

Do not they be contemplated insurances, the flight, taxes, repelentes, beverages of alcoholic or other services done not specify in the program.

Day 1: San Ignacio - Candelaria

After breakfast we begin our journey riding in a 4X4 vehicle. Our first stop will be the small town of Candelaria 8 hours away. This town is located next to the protected area of San Matías. We will spend the first night in Candelaria.

Day 2: Candelaria - Parabas Azules (Site near the Marsh -"El Pantanal")

On the second day of our journey we will drive to the natural pampas of the Pantanal passing through big private properties dedicated to cattle raising. On this part of the journey we will have the possibility of watching many birds and some mammals. We will stop in a "Hacienda" (ranch) located 40km from the town of Candelaria where we will have the opportunity to appreciate the Blue paraba (anodorhynchuz hyacinthinus). After mid-day we will continue our trip to another hacienda (ranch) 25 km. away where we will spend the night in tents or in the house. At night we will also have the chance to go out for a walk or even a horse-ride to watch some mammals.

Day 3: Pantanal - Pantanal River -(Piranhas, Adventure, Danger)

On the third day we will travel to the Pantanal. Part of the journey will be done in vehicle, and other parts walking or horse riding. On some parts of the Pantanal (marsh) we have to walk until we can put the small boat in the water. From there we can row down the river to explore and fish for piranhas. If the weather is good we can sleep in tents by the river, which is the frontier line with Brazil. We can go out at night with flashlights to explore the wildlife of this beautiful place.

Day 4: Day: Pantanal - Candelaria

On this day we will continue exploring the wildlife of the Pantanal and the pampas, always with the possibility of watching exotic birds and other mammals. After this we will go back to the town of Candelaria where we will spend the night.

Day 5: Candelaria - San Ignacio

After an early breakfast, we set back to San Ignacio where we end our journey.
