Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Santa Cruz - Samaipata - San Juan del El Potrero
We leave at 8 a.m. by the old highway to Cochabamba towards the most important archeological site in the eastern region. "El Fuerte", a site where several pre-colonial cultures had settled until it became an Inca ceremonial site, is located near the town of Samaipata and has been designated a cultural HERITAGE OF HUMANITY BY THE UNESCO. This stone, carved thousands of years ago, shows the diverse religious tendencies of the area inhabitants. Afterwards, we will visit the Samaipata regional Museum, displaying some objects found at the site and areas surrounding it and a local handicrafts shop. We continue to the chosen campsite, reaching the Clouded Forest. It is also possible to see some wildlife. Dinner. Overnight camping.
Day 2: San Juan del El Potrero - El Abra
Morning hike and ecotourism activities in the area. Observation of wildlife and vegetation. Box Lunch. Camping.
Day 3: El Abra - Santa Cruz Desayuno.
Morning hike to later return to campsite, have breakfast and continue ecotourism activities in the area. Lunch. Return to Santa Cruz, arriving at 19:00.
