An asphalted highway of 158 kilometers joins the cities of La Paz (headquarters of the government of Bolivia) and Copacabana, and constitutes the only access road to the highland. Several transportation companies cover the route daily, for what is not really difficult to get to this part of the country.
Now, if you plan to go to Bolivia coming from Peru, Copacabana and the islands of the Titicaca, could be your first destinations. An asphalted road that starts in Puno (in Peru) leads to the land of the Vírgen Morena. This route is daily used by a great quantity of tourists.
