Minereologico

At this museum there is a large collection of common minerals from the central and western regions of the Bolivian Andes.

Minero de Socavon
The Mining Museum is a repository dedicated to the study of the actual extraction of minerals and to the traditions of its underground workers.

This is an area dedicated to exhibiting archaeological pieces from various cultures that existed before the time of the colony in Oruro.

Gastronomy in Oruro

Charquekan: Dish prepared with charque (dry cow or llama meat), boiled eggs, onion and tomato sauce, yellow pepper.

El Intendente: Dish that contains cow´s or lamb´s insides, such as heart, guts, lungs, kidneys and testicles. It is served with chuño (dehydrated potato) and potato.

Ranga Ranga: Dish prepared with ranga (cow’s stomach), yellow pepper, potato and chuño.
