


The Department of Cochabamba is located in the heart of Bolivia, surrounded ny the “Cordillera de la Herradura” (Horseshoe Mountain Range), its highest peak is “Tunari”. The Department is well known for its warm and cool weather (18º to 24º C. degrees on average), it combines the cold weather from the Altiplano (High Plateau) (High Plateau) (High Plateau) and the heat from the prairies of the lowlands. It has an extremely fertile and exuberant land, which has made Cochabamba the “Ciudad Gardín de Bolivia” (Garden City of Bolivia).
From this place several types of fruit have been produced, many of which have been exported abroad. Cochabamba is an ideal place to go rest, and to enjoy of nature, and visits to pre-colonial and colonial sites.
