Loma Suarez

At about twelve kilometers Northeast of Trinidad and on the shores of the Ibare river -known as the zone of the crystalline and warm water- there is also the artificial hill “Loma Suarez”. All of it is surrounded by the most wonderful natural scenery imaginable; here you will be able to see amazing landscapes, birds and animals of diverse species.

Ballivian Port

At about nine kilometers from the city of Trinidad and on the road to Loma Suárez, there is Ballivian Port. This place has become a natural bathing resort, surrounded by jungle, and filled with all kinds of incredible varieties of animals. The Ibare River is ideal to navigate on canoe and to go fishing.

Suarez Lagoon

This is an artificial lagoon located five kilometers from the capital city of Beni. The Suarez Lagoon was constructed by the Paititiana people, which named this site “Socoreno” (Animals Lagoon). Later on, this place was purchased by the company Suarez Hnos. (Suarez Brothers), who changed the original name and named it Suarez Lagoon.

The beautiful natural view has made this place a frequently visited site for most tourists. On its paradisiacal shores, there is an area which is almost eleven hectares in length, called “Tapacare”, which is simply perfect for ecological-tourism.

Cachuela Esperanza

Located under the jurisdiction of the Province of Vaca Díez, Cachuela Esperanza has a very pleasant climate. In this zone there is very rich flora, fauna and cattle production, it is also well-known for the production of rubber, chestnut and wood.

The surrounding areas, which are next to the Beni River, are beautiful natural attractions. The sudden and enormous water falls, which abruptly appear throughout the area are mostly caused by the irregular rock formations of the river, which were named Cachuela (Rapids of a River).

Puerto Almacen (Almacen Port)

This natural spa is 8 Km. from Trinidad on the River Ibaré. The visitor will carry out a marvelous adventure when canoing the waters of the river in which he/she will be able to appreciate dolphins, fishes and animals of the area. There are exquisite dishes made of fish.

Puerto Varador (Varador Port)

This port is 13 Km. from Trinidad on the River Mamoré. It has a great commercial importance since it crosses the road between La Paz and Trinidad. It possesses extensive beaches, with cool waters that are suitable for taking baths, sailing and fishing.

This port unites Beni with the Chapare region in Cochabamba and at the moment there is a floating hotel service, which delivers an exciting and rich journey across this extensive and wonderful river.

Rurrenabaque

This is an exotic location. In the "Cañon del Bala" (Bullet Canyon); visitors can see sculptures place atop of granite rocks, some of these pieces represent snakes and other animals typical of the area.

Rurrenabaque is the perfect place to go fishing; some of the most common species are: Southubí, dorado, azulejo, pacu and piraíbas (Bolivian species of fish)). The prairies is filled with exuberant and endless species of animals, many of which are listed as endangered species. Rurrenabaque is the portal to one of the jewels of the Bolivian Amazon, then area of Madidi.
