


Built in 1931 –academic style – this church was mostly built with rubble, but it does have several valuable objects; mostly because they are considered antiques and also because of their artistic characteristics. Some interesting pieces worth mentioning include paintings such as "Nuestra Señora de Belen” (Our Lady from Bethlehem), which was made by artisans from Cuzco; also, “El Nacimiento del Niño Dios” (The Birth of the Infant God), painted in Guamaga; there are also several busts from Naples, Rome, Quito and Cuzco, as well as a tabernacle enameled with fine stones.
Construction made of stone and concrete of approximately a meter wide for two meters high that surrounds the city to avoid floods during the rainy season.
Wooden bridge built in the city of Trinidad to unite a part of the city with the Pompeya neighborhood. There is the rural market characterized to offer to the visitor different products of the place like banana, yucca and other fruits.
It is also recommended to visit the Court of Judicial district that is known by their old building; the Main Square of Trinidad, the Central Market, the car-wash, the monument of Pedro Ignacio Muiba and the monument of jesuit priest Cipriano Barace, founder of Trinidad.
In the north part is the old side of the city which has constructions from the colonial period. Its wide paved streets and wide corridors preserve people from the strong solar rays characteristic of the tropical climate.
