Tour Itinerary
Starting in the Island of the Sun in Lake Titicaca, the cradle of the Andean civilizations, with a project, “Ecolodge La Estancia”, built using all the concepts of ecotourism.Enjoy this Sacred Inca land to receive all the energy given by the nature and its culture, to continue exploring new unique programs in remote areas of the Royal Andes Range and the entrance of the Amazon in LosYungas.
Day 1 : La Paz or Puno to Copacabana / Sampaya / Island of the Sun / Ecolodge La Estancia
Private transportation from La Paz or Puno to Copacabana, a nice town in the shores of Lake Titicaca, continue to La Gruta, where the hike starts going up an Inca trail until the pass with an amazing view of the area. Continue to Sampaya, an old Indian village, with well preserved Andean architecture.Hike down to the bay and boat to the Island of the Sun, the Sacred spot of the Incas, land near the Pilkokaina ruins and hike to overnight in Ecolodge La Estancia.(L, D)Day 2 : Boat to La Chincana / Hike across the Island of the Sun
Boat to the northern part of the island, visit La Chincana, a well preserved ruin and hike crossing most of the island to the ecolodge. Enjoy a traditional lunch, called huatia, cooked bellow earth under the fire. Afternoon free to enjoy the beauty of the area. (B, L, D)Day 3 : Island of the Sun / Copacabana / Puno or La Paz
Hike through the village of Yumani in the Garden of the Incas, to see the water spring of the Eternal Youth. Then down to the bay, boat to Copacabana, visit the Dark Virgin and its great church. Private transportation to La Paz or Puno.(B, L)Tour Rates
