The Department of Beni offers a great deal of natural beauty and adventure to all its visitors. The capital of Beni is Trinidad. Beni has several ecologic and archaeological centers, which are tangible examples of the culture and archaeology that existed prior to the time of the colony, a culture that is almost five thousand years old. Of equal importance, there are the magnificent temples of the Jesuit Missions, which bear testimony of the colonial history of the entire country.
